Aldanmark worked alongside Bonacci to provide local knowledge and engineering support to the construction team. During the later stages of construction, local factors required several alterations to the design and Aldanmark were able to work closely with the team to assist with buildable solutions.

Following the discovery of over 15,000 significant historical artifacts, the foundations were redesigned to preserve the site’s heritage while also addressing variable ground conditions and minimizing the new structure's impact. Additionally, alterations to the ground floor were made to further mitigate impacts on the heritage site. The Medical Science Stage 2 building was recognized with the Commercial Building $50 - $100 million category award at the Master Builders Association Awards for Excellence in Building and Construction, as well as the People’s Choice Award at the 2019 Tasmanian Architecture Awards.
