Skellig House

West Hobart, TAS

Project Info Credits

Skellig House combines elements of a treehouse and boathouse, creating a dramatic, shadowed presence on a rocky northern cliff overlooking the Derwent. Inspired by Skellig Michael off Ireland's coast, the design reflects the wild beauty of both landscapes, offering the owners—who have Irish roots—a warm, comforting retreat with panoramic views.

Skellig House won the 2024 Award for Residential Architecture - Houses (New) at the Tasmanian Architecture Awards.
