Nebraska

Bruny Island, TAS

Project Info Credits

Perched among the dunes on Bruny Island’s northern tip, Nebraska is a coastal retreat designed for extended family holidays. Balancing privacy, bushfire safety, and exposure to the elements, the home maximizes light and views with two timber-framed volumes that frame a central entry. A narrow corridor connects quiet sleeping zones to a sunlit courtyard and open-plan living area, with floating decks extending into the native landscape. Inside, warm timber walls frame serene vistas of gumtrees and the distant sea.
