krakani lumi

Mt William National Park, TAS

Project Info Credits

krakani-lumi, translating to “resting place” is a camp nestled in the wukalina/Mt William National Park designed for a cultural walk guided by the Aboriginal Land Council Tasmania. This project was completed within close consultation with the Land Council and the broader Tasmanian Aboriginal community.

The half-domed shelters emulate the traditional shelters of ancient Tasmanian Aboriginals. Given the secluded setting, the structures had to be airlifted to the site and then assembled.
