The TasTAFE Agricultural Centre of Excellence focuses on practical education, adaptability, and land connection. It incorporates landscape elements to engage students and teachers in both classroom and practical studies, symbolising progressive farming techniques with a contemporary design. The ‘cattle grid’ facade provides privacy and solar control, while rammed earth walls reflect the red hues of the northwest farming landscape. Sustainability features include natural light, passive solar heating, and thermal mass walls to minimise energy use and regulate indoor temperatures effectively.
